SFI

We take a group of SFI (Swedish For Immigrants) students to the island of Lacka, together with another group of boats.

Where and When

Times below are calculated with 4 knots and ca 12 hours travel/day. Idea is to travel 24h/day when possible and stop over when we find some nice spots. If possible we will travel faster and hich hike with barges.

2009.07.02 Skipper and Family arrive to Ellide Embla in Dinevi Marina at Svetli Vlas (Sunny Beach)Bulgaria.

2009.07.04 We sail for Constantza, Romania, ca 80 NM
2009.07.05 Arrival at Constantza and clear in to Romania
2009.07.06 Take the mast down at the entrance on the Danube-Black Sea Canal, secure the mast on deck.
2009.07.07 The Canal to Donau, Constantza to Cernavoda, 35NM, and go through the 2 locks.
2009.07.08 -2009.07.09 Cernavoda to Ruse, 106 NM
2009.07.10 -2009.07.14 Ruse to Turnu-Severin 235 NM
2009.07.15 -2009.07.16 Turnu-Severin to Belgrade 102NM

Further on and out in the Rhine. It starts to be quite unpredictable at this point and further information will come. Rhine will be down stream so it will be a lot faster than Donau.
